Hericium
The Hericium is an excellent edible mushroom that also produces beautiful fruiting bodies in our latitudes. This wound parasite grows on older deciduous trees, but is rarely found. Hericium is also called monkey head mushroom or lion's mane because of its bizarre shaggy shape.
