Pleurotus

The oyster mushroom is a very popular edible mushroom and is therefore also cultivated in large quantities. But the Pleurotus is not only popular on the most varied of continents because of its fine taste. Its valuable bioactive ingredients also make it valued as a health support.

Almost everywhere in the world it grows preferentially on the side of hardwoods and looks like an oyster shell.

The pleurotus is rich in vitamins of the B complex such as u. a. B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B6 ​​and B7 (biotin) and vitamins C and D (calciferol).

A quarter of the dry matter of this mushroom consists of proteins and contains all the essential amino acids. A very important component of the pleurotus is also the ß-glucan (polysaccharide) pleurane.
