Polyporus

The Polyporus grows mainly in beech and oak forests from June to October and occurs in both Europe and Asia.

This mushroom has a long tradition in traditional Chinese medicine. It was mentioned in Chinese scriptures more than two thousand years ago

Polyporus is particularly rich in the minerals calcium, potassium and iron and also contains considerable amounts of the trace elements zinc, copper and manganese.

Other ingredients are: ergosterol, the precursor of provitamin D, important B vitamins such as folic acid, biotin, niacin and vitamin A (retinol). In addition, the Polyporus contains specific polysaccharides and polypeptides, the diverse effects of which have been scientifically proven.
